Justice Through Literacy (JTL) is a nonprofit focused on empowering underserved children through literacy, critical thinking, and leadership development. Its six-week summer camp in Kwali, Abuja, provided academic enrichment, confidence-building, and mentorship to 20 children, helping bridge educational gaps and prepare them for long-term success.

Justice Through Literacy (JTL) is a community-based educational initiative dedicated to empowering children from underserved backgrounds through reading, writing, and critical thinking.

Our signature program, the JTL Summer Camp, is a transformative learning experience that blends academic enrichment with peace-building, leadership development, and creativity. Through this initiative, JTL works to bridge Nigeria’s rural–urban education gap and ensure that every child regardless of their background has access to meaningful learning opportunities.

On May 12th, 2025, JTL launched a six-week summer camp in Kwali, Abuja, themed “The Peace Camp”, serving 20 children aged 6 to 12 from low-income families. The camp concluded on June 24th, leaving participants not only with improved academic skills but also with strengthened self-confidence, new friendships, and a deeper sense of agency.

JTL’s holistic approach prepares children to thrive in school and beyond, fostering a generation of compassionate, literate, and socially conscious young leaders.
